A Google search for pork burgers led us to this cozy restaurant nestled in Bandar Puchong Jaya. A sister outlet to popular burger joint Burgertory, Mision offers an elevated experience, with classy interiors and a quiet, intimate ambience perfect for casual lunches and dinner dates.

Of course, pork burgers are still on the menu, as are delectable pastas, plump and juicy sausages, steaks, and a wide selection of succulent meat. Can’t decide what to go for? Head to the meat chiller and ask for recommendations from the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We wanted some variety, so I got the curry chicken katsu with rice, which was part of the lunch set and came with a glass of iced lemon tea; while he opted for the Ham Dog (RM34) – a crowd-favourite brought over from the Burgertory menu.
The katsu was sizeable and fried to crispy, golden perfection. There’s something very comforting about digging into a bowl of fluffy white rice alongside juicy, deep fried meat. Although the Japanese curry sauce was tasty and the potatoes soft, I wish they had served it in a separate bowl, as the batter on the chicken soaked it up quickly and made the texture soggy.

The Ham Dog was an excellent choice! Next to the burger, the dish also came with lightly salted fries that were crispy and insanely addictive to munch on, as well as a thick af pork sausage, its surface glistening with oil and juices. The crowning glory was, of course, the burger itself, featuring a 150gm patty topped with a heap of creamy coleslaw and cheddar cheese, before being sandwiched between two buttered buns. All elements came together in harmony; pork burgers tend to get dry if overcooked, but Mision delivered with juicy perfection.
What better way to wash down a meat-heavy meal than with some craft beers or kombucha? Mision has a nice selection of both, although we weren’t able to try them on this trip.
PS: If you’re not dining in, you can also get meat / sausages from the chiller to cook at home. Staff will advise on the best methods of prep.
