If you’re looking for a bit of R&R over the weekend (without breaking the bank) – Moxy Putrajaya has got you covered. The hotel has recently revamped its Eat Chew Weekend Buffet Dinner at Three.6.5 Restaurant, with a generous selection of fusion cuisine and fun, local favourites that are sure to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Available exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays, the revamped buffet by Chef Jimmy and his team features everything from fresh seafood and sushi selections, to hearty Asian favourites and live-action stations, where you can watch the chefs whip up hot food on the spot. Here’s how our experience went!

Moxy’s bold and playful DNA runs through the dining area, with plenty of colourful artwork and large circular booth tables made for socialising. Quieter corners at the back of the restaurant offer privacy for those who prefer a calmer dining experience.

Seafood lovers will want to make a beeline for the Seafood on Ice station, which features huge boiled tiger prawns, meaty scallops, and mussels. We especially enjoyed the prawns, which were naturally sweet and juicy. The Sushi & Sashimi Corner next to it is worth checking out too, with handcrafted pieces of salmon and inari sushi, among others.

If you enjoy meat, the carving station is where you can request for cuts of roast beef and chicken, paired with indulgent sauces such as black pepper and mushroom sauce.

Step outside to the live grill stations and watch as the chefs work their magic prepping hot tasty food straight from the wok to your plate. Aside from grilled seafood, the satay is definitely one you don’t want to miss out on.

A lot of places use cheaper meats so there is a lot of gristle, but the meat here is flavourful, chunky, tender, and juicy. Pair your skewers with the peanut sauce and some cucumber slices for the perfect combo.

The Fry Me Up corner is where you can get comforting street food favourites such as fried ayam gunting and fries with tomato and cheese sauce. There is also a Maggie Wagyu Beef Sukiya station.

For something heartier, the buffet offers a good selection of fusion dishes too – from mini chicken sliders and creamy beef stroganoff, to Korean-style glazed chicken wings and lobster masak lemak.

Of course, no buffet would be complete without desserts, and there’s plenty to be had from Western-style cakes like red velvet, chocolate, cheesecake, and pudding, to Asian delights like leng chee kang (sweet soup). There’s even a chocolate fondue fountain, where you can coat your fresh fruits and candy in thick, syrupy chocolate sauce. What we found really fun was the small section with childhood candies on display, as well as the ice cream potong.

Moxy’s Putrajaya Eat Chew Weekend Dinner Buffet is available Fridays and Saturdays from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, priced at RM118 nett for adults and RM59 nett for children aged six to 12. For reservations, call +6038328 1111.
