I blogged about the delish food and chill ambience @ Thyme Out, Bandar Sunway in a previous post – and this time I came back with another friend who wanted to try Mexican fare. She wasn’t impressed, but I think it’s all a matter of taste, coz the food quality (to me) was as good as ever the second time around.
…except the Wild Strawberry Mojito (RM7). It tasted like cough meds.
I had the Nutella Shake (RM12) .I wasn’t expecting it to be so big (that’s what she said :D) so I gasped at the size when the waiter brought it to our table. The glass was taller than my head and came topped with loads of whipped cream, a chunk of Snickers, caramel sauce, minty garnish and a Thyme-Out shaped chocolate bar. It was packed with creamy, nutty goodness but wasn’t overly sweet.
C and I got the Southern Chicks (RM18 for three) hard-shell tacos to share. She didn’t like the coleslaw, but I thought it added a nice, refreshing tang to the meal. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Wish they had more salsa base though. Without the accompanying sauce, the tacos were a bit dry. Personally, I prefer their Finding Dory dish.
That being said, I think this will still be my go-to-spot whenever I crave a Mexican fix. 🙂
