Burger & Taco, Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Good Tex-Mex food used to be pretty difficult to find around the Klang Valley – but the cuisine has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, especially since the opening of Taco Bell in Malaysia. If you’re hankering for some Tex-Mex food while at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, there’s Burger & Taco. No points for guessing what their specialties are!

The shop is a small and cozy corner lot on the ground floor, awash in hues of blue, grey, and peach. Aside from premium gourmet burgers as well as soft and hard-shell tacos, diners can also opt for quesadillas, nachos, and burritos. Orders can be made at the counter, and they’ll serve the food to your table.

The shop’s Americana-inspired decor is reminscent of old-school diners, but with a modern twist. A nook with booth seating offers privacy. Love the punny taglines they have adorning the walls!

Okay, I know they’re called Burger & Taco but we ended up not getting any burgers or tacos. 😛

Instead I had a beef quesadilla because I was craving for something meaty and cheesy – and this hit the spot just right. The tortilla was soft and toasty, the minced meat was savoury and peppery, and there was loads of melty cheese binding everything together. The combination of carbs, meat, and cheese is simple but oh-so-satisfying.

N’s order of a beef burrito was packed with protein, vegetables, rice, and cheese, the flavours coming together in perfect harmony. Solid burrito! Was impressed with the food quality – will definitely come back to have a go at their burgers and tacos next time. Prices range from around RM16 to RM20++ for the mains.
