Had lunch at Ichiban Ramen in Sunway Pyramid.  Pasta Zanmai and Sushi Zanmai both serve excellent Jap food as well but the price is too expensive for me and the queue there takes forever.

My favourite dishes in Ichiban are their Sapporo Miso Ramen, Curry Ebi Udon Rice, and Unagi (grilled eel) Don. I decided to try something else for the day though.

Deep-fried Ika karaage (squid tentacles). It looked very appetizing but tasted meh. The squid wasn’t done well, so it still had an extremely rubbery texture. Felt like I was chewing on erasers or something lol. The only way to finish it was to slather it in chilli sauce. The good news was that I got a good workout for my jaw.

Beef ramen. The ramen wasn’t good either. Felt like it had been soaking too long in soup, the texture was all soggy. The beef itself wasn’t tender and there was too much cartilage(?).

The only good thing about the whole meal was probably the green tea. You disappoint me, Ichiban Ramen! D: I guess I’ll just stick to the usual that I had before the next time I’m here.
