It’s been some time since my first visit to New Chapter by The Owls Cafe at the Cavalry Convention Center in Bukit Jalil. Although the food is delicious, the wait is long and the place is rather out of the way. Over the long weekend, I was craving for their criss-cross fries, so I rang up S and we drove there for brunch!

As expected the place was packed, and we were put on a 30-minute waiting list; but when we finally got to our table, our orders got to us fairly quick. S had an iced latte, while I had a cold white coffee brew.

Perfect for a hot day – too bad the bottle was really small.

This was what I was craving for – their crispy criss-cross fries. The croissant was a tad too salty from the mayo and ketchup / beef slices, so I’ll remember to just go for the plain one next time. The sesame dressing on the salad gave it great flavour – that’s the way to make me eat my greens.

S had what I had last time, the one with scrambled eggs.

We were too stuffed to order waffles. Definitely will on our next trip!
