Other than cakes, one of my favourite things to order at Secret Recipe is their prawn macaroni with cheese. Although the quality varies among the different outlets, the Puchong Utama branch dishes out a pretty decent one. Loaded with mushrooms and sizable shrimp, the soft and chewy macaroni is done al-dente, with loads and loads of cheese – both stringy and melted, with a sprinkling of black pepper seasoning. A hearty meal that’s perfect for a cold day.
Secret Recipe has been around since 1997. A 100% homegrown brand, they now have over 300 outlets in Southeast Asia and Shanghai. As a kid, a Secret Recipe cake was a real treat coz they were already pricey back then compared to other cake outlets.

Back in the 2008, my mother used to bought me this giant currypuff-esque chicken thingy. I loved it so much back then, now, thinking about it makes me gag =X
