Gamers unite! In conjunction with its 15th anniversary, popular gaming retail chain Impulse Gaming recently unveiled its latest flagship store – a massive one-stop-shop for all your gaming needs, with plenty of stuff for comic and toy collectors to boot. The store is nestled within an industrial area within Jalan Sungai Besi and parking can be a real pain, so I recommend taking a Grab here.

The shop is neatly laid out, so even though there were quite a lot of people, it did not feel too crowded. The main foyer mostly features Playstation and Nintendo Switch games and accessories. To the right as you enter are rooms outfitted like a gamer’s den, each housing products from brands such as logitech, Razer, MSI, and ASUS, where you can test out the monitors, speakers, and other gaming paraphernalia. There’s also a booth where you can try virtual reality games via headsets.

We next moved on to the mezzanine floor, which houses an extensive collection of toys and figurines, a large portion dedicated to Gundam. You can also find popular anime figures from series such as One Piece, Demon Hunter, and Dragonball, as well as Western pop culture icons such as Marvel heroes and characters from Star Wars.

There’s more to see on the other side of the store; a section dedicated to cute collectibles, figurines, and Pokemon / Dragon Ball trading cards. There’s also a cafe here serving drinks and pastries, so you can rest after all that hard work shopping and browsing.

Impulse Gaming is to gamers, what a candy store is to kids – full of options that boggle the mind, if you have the budget for it. We didn’t, so we contented ourselves with just putting down items on our wishlist. Hopefully a proper gaming PC setup is not far on the horizon!
