So the other day the N and I and the fam had dinner at a new cafe nearby called Yuan Xiang Pastries Supply. As the name suggests, they sell pastry supplies, but they’ve also got a cafe within that serves local and Western fusion dishes.

N had the Spaghetti Bolognese. Portions here are extremely generous – it could have easily satisfied two small eaters.  The pasta was done al dente with lots of sausage slices and a nice coat of tomato sauce on each strand; not too goopy nor dry. Pretty good stuff.

Moo and I both had the Spaghetti Carbonara, which came with ham slices and button mushrooms. Some places overload on the cream, but this was done just right – creamy but not cloying.

Pop’s Chicken Chop seemed okay, although the chips are the standard store-bought ones rather than home made.

It was a surprisingly satisfying meal; although since they are still new, expect orders to come out a little slow as they are getting the hang of things. No complaints though! Looking forward to coming back for a pasta fix every now and then. 🙂
