Review: Laksaamana@ Jaya One, Petaling Jaya

The weekend’s hereee woohoo! Done with work for the week, so squeezing in a quick one before I leave the office.

Was at Jaya One shopping centre a few days ago, walked past this Malay resto called Laksaamana (specialises in laksa, what else?). Wasn’t in the mood for laksa per se, but was enticed by the nice illustration of its sotong goreng (fried squid) set. For RM13.90, it came served with six largish pieces of deep fried calamari, a heap of rice, curry sauce, cold cucumber and onion salad, peanuts and half a boiled egg.

Quality was kinda meh. The squid was alright although the batter could have used some improvement. Curry sauce was weak with a bitter aftertaste. 5/10, average.

Yeah I know this isn’t a proper ‘review’ lol but I’ll have more time over the weekend ( no part time stuff to do … yet) so I can really sit down and work on the blog. Happy Friday y’all!
