“I’ll meet you at 7 at Wawa land.”

“What land?”

“Wawa land.”

That was the convo between C and I when she made plans to meet me at this newly opened cafe in Bandar Puchong Jaya. Quirky name aside, the place dishes out some pretty good waffles. They also have Wi-fi and lots of electrical outlets – just what we were looking for. C had to work on her business presentation and I had some freelancing articles to finish.

C ordered hot lemon tea. It had a nice balance of flavours; not too sweet from sugar/honey, with just a hint of bitter and sour.

Spaghetti bolognese with chicken sausages. The pasta was nice and al-dente, and the ingredients were fragrant and aromatic, with bits of minced chicken meat, pepper, thinly sliced mushrooms and onions. Could do with more salt though.

Each meal comes with a choice of Ala-Carte (dish only), Classic (with three choice of drinks) and Premium (any drink on the menu). I had Milk Tea with mine.

C had carbonara, which came with thin slices of beef pepperoni, bellpeppers and mushrooms in a cream sauce. Again, the flavours are there but they just need a bit more salt. Portions were reasonable.

The cafe is better known for their delectable desserts, such as pancakes and waffles. We ordered one with salted caramel sauce. The dish came served with two scoops of chocolate/vanilla ice-cream. Waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They’re pretty good, although I still prefer the one from Owls Cafe. Still, this place is a good alternative if you’re a Puchong-ite and don’t feel like driving all the way to Bukit Jalil.
