I was at Plaza Damas 3 in Sri Hartamas, KL the other day and since not many shops were open, I popped into a cafe called Kaffeine for a quick lunch.
Cosy interior, nice-looking cakes on display – usual cafe stuff. Sri Hartamas and its surrounding areas are known for being an expat hub, so it was not surprising to find that the owner was a friendly white guy. The outlet is apparently famous for their Belgian Waffles, but I wanted something more savoury so I ordered a mushroom and cheese omelette instead.
Generous serving of button mushrooms and melty cheese wrapped in a toasty omelette, with a side of fresh cherrie tomatoes and salad. Pretty yummy, but not very filling.
Their cappuccino was pretty good though! Presented in a black cup with milky, frothy leaf latte art, you can really smell and taste the aroma of ground coffee beans.
